Regional Sales Manager

Ideally, You’re Someone Who Brings...

A passion for LED Lighting.

A minimum of five years’ sales management experience with a team first approach.

Strong communication skills to develop superior working relationships with Agents, Specifiers, Distributors and Contractors.

Results-oriented with an ability to embrace and develop our sales strategies and tactics and grow sales profitably.

Excellent presentation technique with an ability to negotiate, provide unique and alternate solutions with a goal to assisting our agents in closing sales.

Industry and product knowledge.

An ability to travel within the territory.

What You’ll Be Doing Everyday.

Establish sales objectives in the territory with independent sales agents through a detailed plan with measurable goals.

Manage a team of independent sales agents with a view to exceeding our sales forecasts.

Recruit, train, coach, motivate and counsel agents within the prescribed territory.

Assist agents with online and in person presentations to key Specifiers, Distributors, Contractors, and End-users in their territories.

Identify new product and service opportunities by surveying customers' needs and trends and tracking competitors’ programs.

Participate in trade shows, product knowledge sessions and sales meetings with key customers.

Work closely together with the customer service team to ensure we provide a great experience for all our customers.

Manufacturer Receiver

Location: Port Coquitlam

Lightheaded Lighting in Port Coquitlam is looking to add a qualified Receiver candidate to join our team. Lightheaded assembles & ships LED Lighting fixtures for customers throughout North America.

If you are looking for a full-time employment in a business casual environment, Monday to Friday this is your place.

You should have at least 2 years of experience in a Receiver role, have good dexterity & be able to lift boxes up to 45 lbs. An attention to detail & being proactive in identifying areas of improvement in the receiving process would be a valued asset. This position requires being reliable, responsible, and dependable with good written & verbal communications skills. Reporting to Warehouse Logistics Manager, this position is full time, 8:00am – 4:30pm Monday to Friday.

Core Tasks
  • Receive goods from delivery drivers with either the Forklift or a pallet jack
  • Able to count & verify goods received match waybills
  • May require unpacking boxes to verify quantities.
  • Check shipments for damage & accuracy before sign off
  • Enter receiving information into company software
  • Computer skills required & software training will be provided
  • Advise purchaser of any discrepancies or returns
  • Able to follow directions on how to store, locate & track products within the warehouse
  • Able to retrieve & gather parts when requested
  • Keep the work area clean and organized to optimize production and quality
  • Reporting problems Warehouse Manager
  • Plans & organizes work & manages priorities with minimal supervision
  • May perform other duties as assigned

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Has a valid Forklift ticket
  • Previous shipping & receiving experience preferred
  • Superior organizational skills
  • Forklift & Pallet Jack experience. Additional training will be provided
  • Working knowledge of safe lifting skills
  • Has good reading, comprehension, listening and speaking skills
  • Must be able to follow work instructions
  • Willingness to learn each type of product
  • Ability to lift & carry boxes up to 45 lbs
  • Has a valid BC drivers license

Manufacturer Assembly

Location: Port Coquitlam

Lightheaded Lighting in Port Coquitlam is seeking Product Assemblers to join our team that assemble LED Lighting fixtures for customers throughout North America.

If you are looking for a full-time employment in a business casual environment, Monday to Friday this is your place.

You should have good manual dexterity & be able to work with small parts and small hand tools. Having good attention to details & being proactive in identifying areas of improvement in the manufacturing process we provide a valued asset. This position requires being reliable, responsible, and dependable with good written & verbal communications skills. Reporting to an Assembly Bench Lead, this position is full time, 7:00am – 3:30pm Monday to Friday.

Core Tasks
  • Assembly of electrical and mechanical components, wiring harnesses and connectors with work instructions from Bench Leads
  • Work may include fitting or soldering parts together. Some assemblies require the use of adhesives and epoxies
  • May operate small tools in the production and packaging of the finished product
  • Data log entries into tablet for each process
  • Keep the work area clean and organized to optimize production and quality
  • Reporting problems in the assembly process to Bench Leads
  • Carry out quality checks of the product

  • Superior organizational skills
  • Must be able to follow work instructions with attention to detail
  • Willingness to learn each type of product assembly process
  • Assemblers must have the ability to use small hand tools and have good eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity
  • Has the ability to use hand and power tools in a proper and safe manner
  • Basic computer, writing and math skills

Ideally, You’re Someone Who Brings

A minimum of two years’ experience in a customer-service driven administrative support role will make you a prospective candidate

Professional communication and customer service skills that allow you to elevate the quality of business relationships that contribute to successful liaison with clients, contractors, and suppliers

A genuine interest in the commercial lighting industry is helpful, as is some experience in an engineered product-based business (lighting or electrical) would be ideal

An affinity for being organized and detail skilled, able to effectively manage your time and energy, respecting deadlines and responding appropriately when urgency is needed

Fluency in the use of common business technology software such as Infor Visual, Sage, Business Vision, Excel and Word

A vehicle for transportation to and from work (free parking is provided)

What You’ll Be Doing Everyday

You will be the first point of contact as a customer service liaison and manage their queries in a professional and timely manner over the phone and by email

Taking direction from the Sales Team, you’ll prepare quotations, confirm pricing, and all details to complete the order

Arrange for product shipments across North America, including related documentation

Participate in cross-training with your team members to allow you to take on a variety of tasks to meet our customer requirements

While you will have clearly defined responsibilities to manage, the company’s work environment is strongly team based, and you’ll be expected to develop strong peer relationships for the benefit of the entire team
